RITE AID
Paid $2.38

On Sale for 50% off!

Bought three of them and used three coupons.

This coupon was in this last week's paper. Overage at Rite Aid because it doesn't have an ounce specification on the coupon. I haven't priced Walmart's travel size Vaseline yet. You might want to do that as well. I need feed back, let me know how you are doing with your couponing and if this blog has helped you.

 I actually used a previous $2.00 +up I already had as well. I was 3 cents away from getting a 5.00 +up. didn't realize it's before tax. If you spend $15.00 you get $5.00 +up back.

WALGREEN'S

Spent $9.08

This coupon was in this last weeks Sunday newspaper.

So were these coupons. Made this pizza 2/$3

I got the link to these copons on Hip2Save.com

Commissary Grocer Shopping
 Spent $34.27. Used 19 coupons. Saved 51%!!!

Coupons Expiring Soon!

If you have these coupons you might want to consider using them. They expire in a couple days. Here's the scenarios:

Use the B1G1 coupon and combine it with the $1.00 off coupon.  You can do this anywhere seeing as you are getting two products. If you are military, the commissary sells face wash for around $2.00. So you can get facewash AND body wash for $1.00!!!!  I think Walgreens has Olay on sale for 20% off right now.  So it's up to you where you think the facewash is cheapest. Sine there is no oz restriction you can get the cheapest size facewash.

If you use Head and Shoulders this is a good coupon. Most of the coupons that Head and Shoulders puts out is $1.00 off of two. So if it's worth it to you, use these up.

$3.00 off of one Tide Stain release. High value coupon. There is also a B1 Tide Detergent Get1 Stain release free. I don't have a picture of that one, but that one expires soon as well.

You can combine these as well to make a pretty good deal on Gilette Deodorant and Body wash.

Good coupon because Pantene usually has the coupons $1.00 off of TWO, not ONE.

High Value coupon as well.

Strawberry Spinach Salad and Baked Chicken

So much more appetizing than it looks. The Salad was excellent, and the chicken was AWESOME!
Got the recipes from Light & Tasty Magazine. I actually totally changed the chicken recipe that was in the magazine so I'm not even going to put the original recipe on here for that one.

Baked Chicken

1/4 C. Catsup
1/4 tsp. Chili powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 Tbs. Vinegar
1/2 Tbs. Oil
(2) Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (aprox. 10 oz. each)- cubed

Put first five ingredients in a plastic bag. Add Cubed chicken. Let marinate 8 hours or overnight. You can make the dipping sauce at this time as well. Place in greased pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Dipping Sauce:
1 Tbs. diced green pepper
1 Tbs. diced green onion

1/4 C. Catsup
3/4 tsp. Chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 Tbs. Vinegar

Combine and mix well. Let sit in refrigerator until ready to eat! :) Very yummy

Nutritional Analysis: One serving (1 chicken breast with 2 tablespoons sauce) equals 278 calories, 1 g fat (trace saturated fat), 66 mg cholesterol, 888 mg sodium, 38 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 29 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 3-1/2 lean meat, 1 starch.

Strawberry Spinach Salad

Ingredients:

8 cups torn fresh spinach
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon sunflower kernels
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted
2 tablespoons canola oil (I halved the oil to make it less fattening)
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
4-1/2 teaspoons sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons snipped fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground mustard

Directions

In a salad bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries, onion, sunflower kernels and sesame seeds. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the remaining ingredients; shake well. Pour over salad and gently toss to coat. Serve immediately. Yield: 8 servings.

Nutritional Analysis: One serving (1 cup) equals 68 calories, 4 g fat (trace saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 61 mg sodium, 7 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 1 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 vegetable, 1/2 fruit, 1/2 fat.

Walgreen's and Walmart Deals!!!! You WANT to check this out!

Walgreen's

Osteo Biflex- $9.99. Used a $6.00 off coupon (in newspaper about a month ago). Received a $1.00 RR
Total: $2.99 with RR

Always Maxi Leak Guard Pads- SALE $2.99. Used a $2.00 coupon I got in the mail for signing up for P&G's sample club. Received a $2.00 RR.
Total: $1.01 money maker

Sinful Nail Color-SALE $.49!! The sign says $1.99, so I don't know why it rang up $.49, but hey, I'll take it. Used a $1.00 off coupon that was in last weeks newspaper. They subtracted $.49.
Total: FREE!

Always Maxi Leak Guard Pads- SALE $2.99. Used a $1.00 off coupon. Received a $2.00 RR.
Total: $.01 money maker!

Total paid at Walgreen's: $8.53. Received a total of $5.00 in RR. Grand total: $3.53!!! The Pads alone cost more than that at Walmart!!

Disclaimer: You do have to pay tax on all these items, so the money makers may not actually be money makers when taking tax in consideration. But hey, still a GREAT deal.

You can only get ONE Register Reward per item per transaction. For example, that's why I had to do two transactions for the Always Pads. If I had not, I would not have received the second $2.00 RR. If I did not explain that properly please e-mail me with any further questions.

Learned this as well: You have to have one RR per item you are getting. If you want to use three RR you have to have at least three items in your basket purchase.  For example: For my second transaction I tried using my $1.00 off coupon and one of my $1.00 RR. I could not because I did not have two items in my total basket purchase. If I had got a pack of gum or something I could have. But since I can use my RR at the commissary I did not want to do that.  I hope I explained that right. Once again, any questions please ask. This will help you out tremendously as you shop if you get this. I just learned this yesterday and I've beend doing this for 6 months now.

ALSO!!!!!!

Walmart sells the Pures 3-in-1 travel size sheets for $.98. A few weeks ago in the Sunday newspaper I had a coupon for $3.00 off. It did not specify a quantity. Because of Walmarts new coupon policy I was able to get roughly $16.00 back from them. I had to do it one at a time because the coupon says "one per transaction". But hey, worth it. This is a "golden ticket" as I like to call really good coupons.  So use it!!!!  I recommending printing off there coupon policy seeing as I had to "fight" to get my money. But their policy does state that they will give money back! I love it! Now THAT'S how you coupon!

Weekly Walgreen's Deal

Dial Nutriskin Lotion- SALE 4.99 with $3.00 in Register Rewards back.
Used a $1.00 off coupon. Out of pocket total: 3.99      Total after +up: $.99

Ben and Jerry's Peanut Brittle ice cream- SALE 1.29 (Because their frozen foods are on sale right now. Stop by and see what kind of deals your Walgreen's has)!

(3) Pantyhose-SALE $.79 each when you use the coupon that is in there weekly ad.

(2) Pure Protein bars- SALE $.99 each. Used a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE coupon. You can go here ( http://www.pureprotein.net/pages/newslettersignup.aspx) and get a $1.00 off coupon. It seems they are not doing the B1G1 right now. Still a good deal if you like this sort of thing. I bought these because Mark likes to eat them after he works out. They are supposed to help somehow. ;) who knows. I don't like them, but he does.

(1) Sinful Nail Color- SALE $1.99. Used a $1.00 off in ad coupon. Total: $.99

If you follow the previous scenerio you should pay out of pocket: $9.63 (before tax) and get back a $3.00 RR. Making the grand total after RR: $6.63. No, it's not FREE, but the more you do this the better at it you'll get and there will come a point where you will pay hardly anything.

Now... for MY out of pocket total: $1.78!!! It's because I already had $7.00 in RR from a previous shopping trip. And, I'm so excited!

We are now at Ft. Campbell. I was a little worried that the Commissary wouldn't accept Walgreen's RR, but they do!!! Yay! For those out there that are military this will help. For those of my loved one's who are not, sorry! :( But you can still get great deals using the RR at Walgreen's. Actually, I haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking Walmart might accept them. If I understand their new Coupon Policy. I will have to update you on that.
